iMovie is an Editors' Choice winner for entry-level video editing. iMovie's new Storyboards and Magic Movies features-unfortunately only available on the mobile version as of this writing-take the wonderful template-based Trailers feature several steps forward. It's not always the first to support new formats, but it does work with 4K and HEVC. Apple iMovie includes excellent tools for media organization, color grading, speed, green-screen effects, narration, and soundtrack in your digital movies. iMovie is better than the video capabilities built into Windows' Photos app and the new app called Clipchamp that's rolling out to Windows 11 users.
